James is 24 Years Old born into an extremely rural- orientated family, James always been involved in some way with his local agricultural show society. Furthermore, from his childhood all the way through to adulthood, he has always been and avid participant in events such as young paradors and young judges within the cattle sections of the Gympie Show, even exhibiting cattle for his family during these times. Agricultural Shows play a pivotal role in the functionality of all rural communities, bringing together those who originate from an urban background with those of rural setting. In addition to this, those from a rural background appreciate the connections and social aspects of these events.

Being a Rural Ambassador would provide the opportunity for me to network with other like-minded young people in agriculture about issues associated with our industry. Secondly, being able to network with these like-minded individuals would allow me to listen to potential ideas that he could offer to his own show society for implementation in the future.
